Proof Of Concept : "Matrix"

The client wanted to explore new rich media solutions for their home page that encouraged end-user interaction. We worked with them to create an engaging solution.

The Challenge

The client's site was originally built with a focus on the products being sold versus interactive engagement; up to this point the client relied on static imagery to engage end-users. The client wanted to experiment with rich-media solutions that could be potentially interesting to end-users to encourage greater click-through to products.

The Solution

One of the solutions explored was a "matrix" of product images that reacted to end-users mouse interactions and took the end-user to different parts of the site when links were clicked. The Flash animation could be fed dynamic data drawn from the database of products on the client's site and contain direct links for end-users to click and follow.

The Results

The client was able to experiment with a rich-media solution for their home page and test the feasibility of similar solutions for the future.
