Panasonic : Toughbook City - Supply Chain Management Microsite

The client needed a microsite to showcase a line of products for a niche industry. We worked with the client to produce an engaging microsite for end-users.

The Challenge

The client sought to showcase their line of Toughbook notebooks and the potential applications they have in the Supply Chain Management sector. Based on prior success with a previous Toughbook City microsite (targeted at another industry) the client wanted a solution that explained product benefits to their target audience in an engaging way. They also wanted a solution that could be templatized and easily updated with minimal programming fuss.

The Solution

Utilizing a previous version of the Flash microsite as a visual template we rebuilt the code from the ground-up to better utilize the latest Actionscript 3.0 methods. All artwork was set up in modular elements that could be updated for use in future Toughbook City projects. All text data and links are supplied by an external XML file which can be easily updated without touching the Flash file.

The Results

The client was able to deploy an edgy, visually-engaging microsite that speaks to the needs of those in the Supply Chain Management sector.
