Panasonic : HPX500 Site Masthead Animation

This client needed an engaging Flash animation for their Pro Video section of their site. We were able to deliver a beautifully-rendered animation with optimal filesize and striking visuals.

The Challenge

The client needed an animated masthead graphic that showcased the various environments their product, the P2HD memory card, can operate in. The animation had to be visually engaging, list the selling points and closely follow existing brand guidelines. Additionally, filesize had to be kept under consideration as page load time for end users is an important issue.

The Solution

Using a combination of traditional timeline animation coupled with the power of Actionscript we assembled an animated banner solution that featured the product in various environmental conditions such as snow, desert and the racetrack. Animation was done via Actionscript and images were optimized for Flash usage, which helped to keep filesize under 200kb.

The Results

The client received a beautifully rendered animation that visually engages the end-user with strong selling points and a definite call to action. The filesize and animation method lends itself to acceptable server load and end-user download times.
