Artisan Strings : Website Design

This classical instruments manufacturer had a need for a clean design that showcased their products in an easy-to-understand format. We helped them get there.

The Challenge

The client's existing website at the time was designed several years prior and did not reflect the client's current violin, viola and cello inventory, nor did it reflect the current brand identity. The site's organization was haphazard and visually disjointed. It made the act of searching for products a painful experience for the end-user. On top of all this the outdated HTML code did not lend itself to being easily indexed by search engines.

The Solution

After consulting with the client and reorganizing their catalog of goods into an easy-to-understand format, we designed a web solution that highlighted the beauty of their product line. Supporting literature was integrated into the design alongside the violins, violas and cellos, and was laid out in an intuitive, easily read format. The HTML code was altered to be semantically-relevant, which makes for easier indexing and easier updating of the product lines in the future.

The Results

The website is now in-line with the client's brand guidelines and features their violins, violas and cellos prominently. The end-user is now more easily able to find what they need in regards to the company's products. Finally, clean, semantically-relevant HTML code allows search engine spiders to properly index their website for end-users to find.
